Tom Reed

Finance Officer

Tom Reed joined First Nations Development Institute in June 2015.  He is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience.  He started his career as an auditor and tax preparer in a national CPA firm.  He has since been a bank controller, assistant company controller, manager of the financial reporting group with a multinational technology company, and self-employed CPA.  Most recently he spent seven years with a food bank learning about the nonprofit world.

Tom has served as treasurer on the boards of various nonprofits over his career and continues to support several organizations by preparing their annual IRS form 990 filings on a free or reduced-cost basis.

Tom received his B.S. degree in accounting from Colorado State University.  He is a licensed CPA in Colorado and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
