Please join First Nations Oweesta Corporation for its first Native CDFI Practitioner Certification Training (Fundamentals Week) with Native Learning Center in Hollywood, Florida, Tuesday-Friday May 8-11, 2018.

Oweesta is excited to launch this Native CDFI Practitioner Certification Program. This four-day Fundamentals Week training will orient Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) practitioners to the Native CDFI field and help them understand more about different aspects of Native CDFI operations. This Fundamentals Week will help participants become certified Native CDFI practitioners and strengthen your work in your organizations and Native communities. Oweesta is partnering with the Seminole Tribe of Florida Native Learning and Lanalle Smith and Heather Rademacher Taylor from Oweesta to lead this training with Lisa Wagner from Bluestem Consulting. It will be covering a range of CDFI topics, including history of the industry, CDFI products and services, basic financial management, capitalization, measuring impact, outreach, policies and procedures, lending, client management and more. 
 
The Native CDFI Practitioner Certification Training will be held at the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Native Learning Center at 6363 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The training is tuition-free, but we do ask that if you register and are unable to make it to please call (954) 985-2315 to cancel (this will assist us in our breakfast and lunch orders).
