The ultimate purpose is to strengthen Menominee Tribal Enterprises’ operational capacity by supporting an Operations Administrator role that improves strategic planning, compliance, and project management to sustain forestry resources and drive efficient, long-term economic growth.

Through this project the Youth Conservation Clubs will empower Indigenous youth to strengthen stewardship through cultural knowledge, place-based conservation activities, and community engagement. The clubs foster commitment to protecting natural resources while honoring relationships with the land.

This grant enables general operating support for activities related to the Tribe’s Food Sovereignty Program, including staff support for teaching traditional harvesting, processing and preparation practices.

To support the completion of mapping the Tribe’s territories, which will further outreach, grant seeking, and land reacquisition efforts.

General support for cultural and youth activities in the Hoopa Valley Tribe’s ancestral lands.
